Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic team to contribute technical expertise in transforming raw data into meaningful insights, fostering data-driven decision-making within an innovative and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data infrastructure to support our organization's data processing needs. Experienced in ETL processes, data modeling, and optimization techniques to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.

Responsibilities

•Identify ACOG's data sources, select, configure, and implement analytics solutions, build systemsto transform raw data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
•Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance data pipelines for processing andanalyzing large volumes of data.
•Identify data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs in collaborationwith data analysts and other stakeholders.
•Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the datawarehouse or other storage systems.
•Optimize and tune existing data pipelines for improved efficiency, reliability, and performance.
•Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing processes.
•Design and optimize database structures for both relational and non-relational database systemsin collaboration with database administrators.
•Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and integrate bestpractices into our data infrastructure.
•Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
•Define data governance and security policies in conjunction with cross-functional teams.
•Document data engineering processes, data flows, and system architectures to create andimplement standard operating procedures.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
•5 years’ experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
•Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
•Proficiency in SQL and experience with database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQLdatabases.
•Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, orSnowflake.
•Knowledge of ETL tools and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of security best-practices for data infrastructure tools.
