    American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a membership organization dedicated to the advancement of women’s health care in Washington, DC, is currently seeking a Program Specialist, High Risk Breast Cancer Screening Project to be responsible for coordinating the project, under the supervision of the Manager.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Provide project coordination and administrative support for meetings, including meeting planning and logistics, assembling agenda materials, developing and distributing related minutes, reports and updates
    • Assist Program Manager with facilitating evidence evaluation and review, including tracking manuscript development and notifying authors of upcoming deadlines. Prepare and distribute committee documents for review during development, and compile writer and reader comments
    • Coordinate with outside vendors and internal staff for video eModule development and production, and project marketing and promotion, including liaison activities with outside experts.
    • Monitor evaluation components and process.  Maintain a budget-tracking system for the program and process all income deposits, expenditures, expense reimbursements, invoices for representatives, and honorarium payments
    • Represent the program both inside and outside of the College, including booth exhibiting and outreach at national and regional meetings; provide program updates at meetings
    • Assist in the development of relationships with professional associations and other women’s health organizations to help support the program. Work with other College staff to create appropriate agreements with outside partners
    • Develop working knowledge of the College’s resources and guidelines. Become familiar with the College’s publications and ancillary provide education materials in order to understand the College’s guidelines for breast cancer screening.  Retrieve articles from online databases such as PubMed; coordinate with the Resource Center

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of two years of relevant administrative experience is required; Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is required
    • Project coordination skills, including meeting management. Excellent oral and written communication abilities including editing and proofreading;  Attention to detail and ability to work with unfamiliar medical terminology.Interpersonal skills including a balance of assertiveness and diplomacy; good judgment; ability to interact with a variety of people and institutions; ability to meet deadlines and to handle a diverse work load. Demonstrated ability to set own priorities, to follow through on assignments without supervision, to show good judgment and attention to detail. Skills in managing multiple projects
    • Strong, working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe). Basic knowledge of marketing and social media platforms preferred.  Basic knowledge of accounting management
    • Must be able to work extended hours on planned meeting days (700am-930pm); May require weekend work hours and/or travel
