    American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a membership organization dedicated to the advancement of women’s health care in Washington, DC, is currently seeking a Benefits & Compensation Specialist to support the administration of benefits and compensation programs offered by ACOG and provides high quality customer service to the organization’s employees.

     

    Responsibilities

    Benefits

    • Administer all benefit programs provided by ACOG including, but not limited to, medical, dental, leaves of absences, disability, retirement, COBRA, and worker’s compensation, including coordinating enrollment and changes
    • Ensure employees are aware of, and able to fully utilize, ACOG benefit offerings and changes through employee communications
    • Assist employees with claims resolution and advise on benefit offerings (i.e. explaining benefit-related policies, procedures, and regulations)
    • Plan and coordinate annual open enrollment, wellness programs, fairs, and meetings with vendors
    • Research and resolve escalated employee issues with insurers
    • Maintains HR department Benefits intranet pages
    • Process and reconcile all vendor invoices for accuracy and payment, and resolve billing discrepancies as needed

    Compensation

    • Coordinate process for annual salary increases
    • Benchmark positions, as needed, to ensure pay equity within the organization and in relation to the market
    • Ensure pay data is accurate in HRIS

    Human Resources

    • Maintain employee records (in HRIS and hardcopy) and ensure compliance with all record-keeping and filings
    • Process employee status changes and personnel action forms
    • Complete and distribute employment verification requests
    • Perform other duties or coordinate special projects as requested

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field is required
    • Minimum of two years of relevant HR experience
    • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Knowledge and proficiency in using the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio)
    • Experience with ADP WorkForce Now preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
    • Demonstrated ability to be both self-directed and collaborative
