    American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a membership organization dedicated to the advancement of women’s health care in Washington, DC, is currently seeking Education Specialist to coordinate, correspond with, and confirm the participation of invited speakers on the scientific program for the Annual Meeting.


    Serve as a staff liaison to the Committee on Scientific Program.

    • Provides logistical support for the June and January committee meetings by coordinating hotel reservations and travel for the meeting attendees; Assist with the meeting materials and meeting room set-up.
    • Assists with the writing of the Executive Board Reports and the CCME Report from the Committee Chair and receive approval from the Sr. Director, Educational Development & Testing
    • Electronically sends the current meeting evaluations from the Annual Meeting to course/session participants; Maintain a record of the committee members’ expenses and honorarium for the Green Choice Fund.
    • Prepare and order speaker/committee award certificates and plaques; Maintain the committee office in the Convention Center.
    • Respond to committee members’ questions regarding the scientific program.

    Maintain speakers’ records

    • Assists with the data entry in Cadmium database to track and maintain speakers for all courses/sessions of the scientific program for the Annual Meeting.
    • Prepares and sends email confirmation/registrations to all program participants
    • Maintains records of expenditures (honoraria, travel, expenses, hotel) for VIPs and speakers; Maintain records of committee members’ expenses and honoraria for the Green Choice Fund.
    • Enters all participants’ registration information for VIP and speaker codes into NetForum; Coordinates and prepares the “Call for Proposals” notification and distributes to membership.
    • Point person to answer questions regarding the Virtual Meeting.


    • Assists with the abstract process for the Annual Meeting
    • Works as the committee liaison to select abstracts for presentation and plot them into meeting schedule
    • Assists with annual meeting registration
    • Works collaboratively with the Senior Manager, Education and meetings staff to manage the registration process with JSPargo (or registration vendor)
    • Works with ad hoc committee to review all films for the multimedia library every three years
    • Track current films in library; Package film festival films for the library and market accordingly
    • Assists the Sr. Manager, Education and Sr. Director, Educational Development & Testing as needed.


    • Bachelor’s degree in related field is required
    • Minimum of two to three years of relevant experience is experience; Association experience is preferred
    • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
    • Ability to work in various speaker databases and membership database.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercising independent thinking and authority to make decisions; Ability to show diplomacy when interacting with people and to handle stressful situations with composure.
    • Flexibility to travel; Detailed oriented and efficient organizational skills.
