    American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a membership organization dedicated to the advancement of women’s health care in Washington, DC, is currently seeking  a Program Specialist, WPSI to support the Women's Preventative Services Initiative program.


    • Provide project coordination and administrative support for meetings, including meeting planning and logistics, assembling agenda materials, developing and distributing related minutes, reports and updates.
    • Assist Program Director with facilitating content development and review, public comment, final production, marketing and promotion.
    • Update and maintain program materials and databases, including forms, reference manuals, and training materials; monitor evaluation components.  Maintain a budget-tracking system for the program and process all income deposits, expenditures, expense reimbursements, invoices for representatives, and honorarium payments.
    • Maintain the program website; assist in making technical and content updates; facilitate reviewers’ access; respond to queries from interested Fellows about the process and website.
    • Represent the program both inside and outside of the College; provide program updates at meetings.
    • Assist in the development of marketing materials for final guidelines and related materials, webinars, department activities up to and including designing the materials or coordinating the design and production with an off-site firm including booth exhibiting and outreach at national and regional meetings.
    • Assist in the development of relationships with professional associations and other women’s health organizations to help support the program. Work with other College staff to create appropriate agreements with outside partners.


    • Minimum of two years of relevant administrative experience required. Bachelor’s degree is required.
    • Project management and coordination skills, including meeting management. Excellent oral and written communication abilities including editing and proofreading.  Attention to detail and ability to work with unfamiliar medical terminology.
    • Interpersonal skills including a balance of assertiveness and diplomacy; good judgment; ability to interact with a variety of people and institutions; skills in managing multiple projects. Ability to set priorities and follow through on tasks without supervision.
    • Strong, working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher). Basic knowledge of HTML and website management preferred.  Basic knowledge of accounting management.
    • Must be able to work extended hours on planned meeting days (700am-930pm). May require weekend work hours and/or travel.
