The College is currently seeking a Program Administrator to provide a central role in the coordination of the College’s global health portfolio by managing the programmatic work involved with creating and implementing technical packages of Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and ensure successful implementation of ACOG’s surgical training course in Uganda, learning and design/continuing medical education deliverables in Ethiopia, and other projects as assigned.
  • Assist in the development of work plans and timelines, including identifying deliverables, tasks, accountabilities, and results indicators, and establishing mechanisms to ensure efficient work plan implementation.
  • Work in concert with the senior staff to assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of CME activities.
  • Monitor program activities to ensure quality and accuracy of work outcomes with contractual and grant commitments.
  • Contribute to the documentation and knowledge sharing of program results with periodic progress reports to funder.
  • Liaise with Accounting to prepare monthly/quarterly invoices and monitor all grants and programmatic budgets
  • Attend relevant partner meetings including donor meetings, stakeholder meetings, and partnership meetings to build productive relationships and seek new and meaningful opportunities for ACOG.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
  • Three or more years of global women’s health program management
  • Knowledge of developing country contexts; direct experience in Africa a plus
  • Must have solid understanding of basic database structure (tables, fields, etc.)
  • Experience with continuing education with physicians, nurses, and/or pharmacists.
  • Knowledge of accreditation and certification systems in graduate and continuing medical education a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, coordination of multiple projects and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic team oriented environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; familiarity with web site maintenance and electronic resources
  • High level of initiative and the ability to prioritize based on minimal direction and multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel to support our international programmatic activities
