The College is currently seeking a Development Specialist/Associate to join our efforts in Individual Giving, Industry Relations and Global/Underserved Development. This position will participate in a broad spectrum of fundraising duties including the management of a master solicitation schedule (submission and reconciliation deadlines and reports); maintaining industry and foundation grant portal access and ACOG profiles; researching individual, industry and foundation prospects; taking part in the development of funding requests; proposal and

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct prospect research
  • Participate in solicitation and grant development and submissions
  • Research and prepare backgrounders and briefs on foundations, corporations, and Fellows for ACOG leadership
  • Liaise with internal program managers and other staff on deliverables, need for support and budgets
  • Manage Database (Raiser’s Edge), gift processing and acknowledgements
  • Manage distribution of solicitations
  • Draft and manage basic monthly budgets
  • Maintain department funding calendar including submissions, reconciliations, contract review cycles, invoicing, and compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2-3+ year of fundraising experience
  • Excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills
  • Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge experience highly desired; other donor software experience acceptable
  • No travel required
  • Part-time schedule is available, ie mornings or afternoons M-F or three full days per week for a candidate with extensive experience.
